Peaceful Minds Counselling Service.

Hello & welcome to my website.

My name is Gina Kelly.

I am a Humanistic Counsellor and have a BA(Hons) Degree and a Professional  Diploma in Humanistic Counselling.

I also have a level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, Certificate in Developing Interpersonal Skills and have completed many Mindfulness trainings totalling well over 500 hours with Certificate of attainment.

I continue to practise Mindfulness daily and incorporate this way of being into my Counselling work. I maintain my knowledge and learning regularly with on going Continued Personal Development. I believe my training to be of the highest standards covering all aspects of the Humanistic realms these being at the core of my way of being.

I will openly give to the Counselling relationship, non judgmental caring 'unconditional positive regard' genuineness 'congruence' and empathy. My way of working is very much a Holistic approach believing in the importance of every aspect of ourselves 'mind, body & soul' enabling a wholeness around our well-being.

I embrace and believe as a Humanistic Counsellor that all People have Inherent worth and deserve respect and sensitivity. I hold faith that over time, we all have an innate tendency to move forward realizing our potential for growth, understanding and acceptance. I believe that we are all organically creative and highly individual and we all have the right to experience emotional challenges in our own way and in our own time-eventually resulting in Psychological wellness and/or acceptance and my hope - inner peace.

I will offer gentle and supportive holding and a space for you to talk through your concerns, worries and the possible deep emotional challenges that you may be experiencing. We will work together to find more helpful and meaningful ways of managing the impact of your current unrest.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) which means I am bound by a code of ethics which gives reassurance that the therapeutic relationship will be confidential, non-judgmental and will take place in a safe environment.

As well as my private practice, I have also worked for nearly 5 years with Wessex Cancer Trust, delivering Counselling support to clients affected by cancer, either personally or family members.

I also have a further 5 years experience working with young people and feel very privileged to have been part of an amazing service 'Off The Record' who offer Counselling Support to young people aged 11-25.

As well as my role with OTR I also worked with 'Havant Young Carers' who provide support for young people who are carers for a family member.
